Call for Officer Nominations
Nominations are now open for selected Mississippi Communication Association officers for 2024. Please see the information below on how you can nominate someone for an open position.
ABOUT THE OFFICERS & ELECTIONS
The qualifications and responsibilities of each officer, along with the process for nominating and electing each, can be found in Article IV of the MCA constitution at http://www.misscom.org/mca-constitution.html.
This year’s nominating committee includes Reid Vance, chair (Mississippi College), Monette Callaway (Hinds Community College), and John Burks (Jones College). All committee members are MCA past presidents.

HOW TO SUBMIT A NOMINEE
To submit a name—yourself or someone else—email Reid Vanceat vance@mc.edu with the following information:
DEADLINES
The deadline to submit a nominee is January 1, 2024. A ballot will be sent to all members no later than February 1, 2024. Voting will be held during the annual business meeting at the conference on February 9, 2024.

- Historian (4-year term)
- Media Coordinator (4-year term)
HOW TO SUBMIT A NOMINEE
To submit a name—yourself or someone else—email Reid Vanceat vance@mc.edu with the following information:
- Name of nominee
- Position and place of employment
- A note of approximately 100 words describe why your nominee (or you) would be a good choice for the position
- If you are nominating someone else, a one-sentence acknowledgement from that individual of their willingness to be placed on the ballot and serve if elected
